The Pennsauken Township Municipal Building will be closed on Monday, Sept. 4, in observance of Labor Day. In addition, the Pennsauken Free Public Library will be closed from Saturday, Sept. 2 through Monday, Sept. 4. Both will reopen for normal business operations on Tuesday, Sept. 5.

Volunteers are needed to assist with Pennsauken’s annual observance of the terrorist attacks committed on September 11, 2001.

Each year, 2,997 American flags, one for each individual who lost their life during the attacks, are placed throughout Pennsauken’s 9/11 Memorial, located at the corner of Merchantville Ave. and Rt. 130, across the street from the Township’s Municipal Building and the Pennsauken Free Public Library.

On Tuesday, August 22, 2017, the Pennsauken Free Public Library will be closing at 3:00 p.m. because of uncomfortable conditions inside the Library. The Library staff apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause patrons. The Library plans to reopen on Wednesday, August 23 for normal business operations.

In support of the Pennsauken Library community, The Camden County Library System is now offering Pennsauken residents free temporary library cards. These cards provide Pennsauken residents with access to full service at all eight branches of the Camden County Library System as well as all digital collections. Cards are valid for service through December 31, 2017.
