Halloween Events In Pennsauken

2022 Halloween Home Decorating Contest

The hunt will be on for the best Halloween decorations in town. Sponsored by Pennsauken’s Department of Parks and Recreation and the Pennsauken Youth Action Committee, the annual Halloween Home Decorating Contest will recognize those homes that go all out for the spookiest time of the year. A team of guys and ghouls will be creeping around town to locate the most impressive expressions of Halloween spirit Pennsauken has to offer. Prizes will be given to the first, second, and third place winners.

The deadline to submit your home for the 2022 has passed. Good luck to all of our participants! Winners will be announced via Facebook Live on Friday, Oct. 28.

Police Department Trunk or Treat

The Pennsauken Township Police Department invites the local community to its first-evert Trunk or Treat event on Thursday, Oct. 20, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., 2400 Bethel Ave. Trick or Treaters will be able to safely get candy and other snacks from vehicles decorated for Halloween.

Individuals, community groups, and businesses wishing to participate or donate to the event can contact Sgt. Gavin Rossner at grossner@pennsaukenpolice.org.

Haunted Hayride

Pennsauken Township’s annual Haunted Hayride will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, from 6:15 to 9:30 p.m. at the Pennsauken Country Club, 3800 Haddonfield Rd. Sponsored by the Township’s Youth Action Committee, the Haunted Hayride features ghosts, ghouls, goblins, and the walking dead providing scary fun for the whole family, as guests ride around in a hay wagon pulled by a tractor. It’s a great bargain, as the cost for the Haunted Hayride is just $2.00 per person.

Pennsauken’s first responders will also be handing out Halloween candy to participants.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive earlier, as lines are closed when the event reaches capacity for the evening. The rain date for the Haunted Hayride is Thursday, Oct. 27, at the same location and times.

Volunteers are once again needed for this year’s Haunted Hayride. Generous students and residents are asked to dress up as ghosts, ghouls, goblins, vampires, and zombies to help provide some scary fun for hayride goers. In addition, community groups and local businesses are invited to put together and participate in a scary scene for the event.

To sign up as a volunteer, to have your organization participate, or for more information about Pennsauken’s Haunted Hayride, contact Juan Vazquez at jvazquez@pennsauken.gov or (856) 665-1000 x104.
