The Pennsauken Police Department has adopted the Civil Service Act, which governs all employee recruitment through the New Jersery Civil Service Comission. The Civil Service Commission has been entrusted to carry out this process through competitive testing. Civil Service announces and administers open competitive examinations and establishes employment lists in accordance with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission regulations.

Basic Job Requirements:

United States Citizen

Between 18-35 years of age.

High School or GED Diploma

Pennsauken Resident 

In addition the candidate must undergo and successfully complete:

An extensive backround check

Medical Examination (Including drug testing)

Psychological Exam
