Pennsauken Township's Remembrance of 9-11 Terror Attacks
As part of Pennsauken’s tribute to the men and women who lost their lives during the 9/11 attacks, the community gathers together to place 2,997 American flags at the Township’s 9/11 Memorial, honoring those who lost their lives during the attacks. The flags will remain in place for 24 hours as part of the community’s observance of September 11, 2001.
Pennsauken’s monument was first dedicated on September 11, 2003 as a tribute to the heroes of 9/11 and the dedicated direct responders — police, fire and EMS — who serve every day to protect American citizens in the communities where they live.
