Pennsauken Township Turns 125 On February 18
Published by Township_Web_Admin on Tue, 02/14/2017 - 08:05On February 18, 1892, the State of New Jersey officially created the municipality known as Pennsauken Township. One hundred and twenty-five years later, we have a lot worth celebrating.
To kick off a year of events and celebrations, Mayor McBride will issue a special proclamation on Saturday, February 18, 2017, 12:30 p.m. at the Pennsauken Free Public Library, 5605 N. Crescent Blvd.
During the event, Pennsauken native and Food Network star Al DiBartolo of DiBartolo Bakery will be on hand to cut the first piece of the “birthday cake” specifically designed for the occasion; pieces of cake will be handed out free to residents until it runs out. In addition, students from the PHS Double Dozen Choir will sing "Happy Birthday" to Pennsauken Township.
